# Your first 10 minutes

> Add a domain, paste your first backlinks, and see how Ples starts monitoring.

After you [sign in](/article/sign-in), do these three things. That is enough to start a monitoring cycle.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Add a domain">
    Open **Domains** in the sidebar and add a site you own — the destination your backlinks should point to. See [How to add a domain](/article/add-a-domain).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add backlinks">
    Open **Links**, then add the pages that should contain a link to that domain. You can paste up to 150 URLs at a time. See [How to add backlinks](/article/add-backlinks).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Wait for the first check">
    New rows show as **Waiting** until Ples checks them (about every 24 hours). Open the [dashboard](/article/understanding-the-dashboard) or **Issues** after the first cycle.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Optional but useful on day one: create a [tag](/article/tags) for the campaign, and add a [contact](/article/contacts) if you know who placed the link.
</Tip>

## What you will see

* **Dashboard** — domain count, active links, portfolio health, and latest issues
* **Links** — the full table with status, LQS, DA, DR, spam score, and Google index
* **Waiting** status — normal until the first check finishes
