# How to use the link visualizer

> Open a page preview that highlights the monitored link. Use /link-visualizer?link_id= from link details.

The link visualizer loads a preview of the linking page and highlights the backlink Ples is monitoring. Open it at `/link-visualizer?link_id=` plus the link’s ID.

## Steps

  <Step title="Open link details">
    On **Links** (`/links`), click the URL you want to inspect. See [Link details](/article/link-details).

  <Step title="Open Link Visualizer">
    Click the visualizer icon (scan/search). It opens `/link-visualizer?link_id=` in a new tab.

  <Step title="Find the highlighted link">
    The preview shows the page with the monitored link highlighted so you can confirm placement, anchor, and surrounding content.

  The visualizer needs a valid `link_id`. Opening `/link-visualizer` without one shows an invalid request screen.
